What's up with Ari? She looked like she was fighting an injury. Her health is vital to the team's shot at winning the Championship.

Cunliffe I understand, due to potential injuries. They worked her very little last year as well. I have no explanation for Ari; yesterday I thought it was just a bad start that hurt her in a short race, but she looked awful today. I never saw RJ, whereas last year he was all over the track, clowning with athletes, saying hi to fans, etc. I wonder if he's ill along with perhaps Ari. Ari's boyfriend, Clayton Murphy, made the trip to NYC and perhaps Ari wanted to come along, too, even if she wasn't feeling well. One might further speculate that Murphy's lackluster 9th place finish in the 800 might tie in.

Each season we, as fanatics, go through the same situation. Where are "x", "y" and "z" athletes. The following people did not seem to be New York: Men - Drake Brennan, Matthew Maton, Rocky Rainey, Julius Shellmire, Demarcus Simpson and Myles Webb Ladies - Hannah Cunliffe, Brooke Feldmeier, Kate Murphy, Katie Rainsberger and Ruby Stauber. Coaches - Johnson I hope that most are being allowed a very short productive season so that they do not "burn out". There are probably several that are sick and need the rest. Also there might be a couple that are injured and we will not see them this season. By the time the Mountain-Pacific meet in Seattle releases their entries, we will know. Patience.

Just my impression, but it seems like she's never quite regained the form of her incredible performance in her freshman year NCAA outdoors. After that I thought she was going to absolutely dominate, but it seems like she's been up and down.

FWIW, Maton was in NYC, but didn't run. I saw him out there on Friday (or perhaps someone who looked just like him), but didn't see him on Saturday.
