One notable absence is Katriina Wright. Hopefully this is a temporary thing and she hasn't left the program.

He might be still recovering from football. Lots and lots of Oregon women. Is Grebo listed in every sprint and hurdle event? https://www.instagram.com/p/C12WaesvdDQ

Both Katriina Wright and Rheinhardt Harrison appear on the new roster, so they must be on the team and just another reason why neither of them is competing this weekend.

Daniel Thrana popped on and off the TFRRS roster a couple times, so I have to believe there is something to it. Maybe it is a visa or academic thing, or maybe he will be on the roster for the outdoor season.

I just have to get used to Schumacher's tendency to limit competitions for his runners. There are others I'd like to see included in this competition, for example, Elliott Cook. I'll just hope the ones who are listed, e.g. Palfrey, actually run.

Heard he got sick again in the fall. Would be surprised if we saw him indoors unless it was very late in the season.

It will be interesting to see how Silan Ayyildiz progresses with Shalane's coaching. Grebo must be injured or ill.

Lots of Ducks in action in Seattle today. For such an early season meet, there were some very promising results. Several in particular that I thought were of note: Jaida Ross got closer to that 60' mark with her meet record throw of 59'7 3/4". Jack Norman had a 6'10 3/4" high jump clearance to win that event. Heptathlon athlete, Rafael Raap's final throw in the shot of 50'2 3/4"was good for second place. Newcomer, Ryann Porter had a very consistent day with six fair jumps, taking second in the Triple Jump with a mark of 40' 1 1/4".
Lots of good early season marks for the women as they took the top 4 spots in the 200 meters, starting with Jadyn Mays' 23.60, and followed closely by Ella Clayton (24.13), Shaniya Hall (24.24), and Alexa Rossum (24.50).
Speaking of Jadyn Mays, she also won the 60 meters with a time of 7.24.
Ku Stevens made a huge step up in his first indoor 3K, running a quality 8:14.31 (30 second improvement over his Outdoor best) and showing that he can run with the top mid-distance group at Oregon.
James Harding won the 600 meter race with an excellent 1:18.83. Anthony Trucks had a busy but quality day with a 7.96 in the 60H prelim--the top time of the day. He followed that up with a 22.40 PB in the 200 meters, as well as a 7.05 in the 60 meter race.
And how about the women in the mid-distance races...Klaudia Kazmierska got PB's in both the 600M (1:31.15) and the mile (4:31.87). Both Maddy Elmore and Tatum Miller added PB's in that women's mile. Another newcomer who showed well was Ella Nelson who PB'd in two seldom run races, the 600M (1:31.90) and the 1K (2:42.61).
Adding in a mile PB for Ben Balazs (4:05.21) and this all adds up to a lot of updating on the season and lifetime best lists. I hope Chile can find the time to make all these updates. So, it was a good day overall for the Ducks as they knocked off some rust. Now they have to try to find a way home through the snow and ice.
