Hunger and curiosity are the biggest problems I have. I can cure hunger but so far I have had problems with curiosity. Example: This year's track and field rosters. Will there be a Goducks listing of this year's teams early (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday), mid week (Thursday or Friday) or not at all? Curiosity is killing olduck66.

Guess I'll go cure the hunger part.

The TFRRS roster seems about correct but for whatever reason when I go to GoDucks and the track and field link, the upper right box that indicates the year says the 2023/2034 roster is there but I find nothing.

Yes they have some links that need to get updated. Use the link above or in the upper right box, select an earlier year and go and then select the 2023/2024 roster and go. The list is a mess. I thought they were delaying it so they could get new pictures for everyone.

A big surprise? Nine coaches. I sort of remember something about volunteer coaches now being listed as coaches sans the word volunteer.

Lots to like with the new roster. It appears that it is up and running, yet information, photos, etc. are still being filled in. When John (OD66) mentions nine coaches, I assume he is including Jesse Williams. Should coach Henson be using Williams as his assistant with the high jumpers, we will begin to see incredible contributions from that event.

I'm wondering if we lost a media (web master) person to add additional coaching. I looked at Washington's coaching roster which has listed more additional asst. coaches also. Does anyone know if there is an NCAA limit to the number of coaches that has been raised? Or are the volunteers now labeled as assistants?
Our women's team looks incredible. Scanning down the roster I see a lot of potential national scorers. The men's team looks good but young.

A big surprise? Nine coaches. I sort of remember something about volunteer coaches now being listed as coaches sans the word volunteer. if you click on each of the coach's bios, three of them still show as volunteer assistants, so that would leave 6 paid coaches. They get a "bonus" coach hiring Jesse Williams as an athletic trainer. And that certainly explains the influx of high jumpers, as two new women transfers have cleared 6' (including hep Williams) and two men cleared 7', with an additional one at 6'11".

Todd, I am elated to see Jesse on the staff. Imagine if he could coach one of the new athletes to anywhere near his own lifetime best of 7'9 1/4". Woohoo, go ducks.
For information to OD66, back on September 9th, I posted the following: "The Division 1 Council made some changes effective the start of the 2023-2024 year. This seems to be explanation for Adeniji's new title: "The Council voted to eliminate the voluntary coach designation across Division I, instead including those coaches within a new limit for countable coaches in each of the applicable sports".
So, what is the new limit for countable coaches? Perspiring minds want to know.

As much as I’d love to have a many time high jump champion on staff I’m going to assume it’s a different Jesse Williams. I did not mislead you...Ha, I was misled by stupidly assuming there was only one Jesse Williams with Eugene connections. Sorry for getting all excited, I owe you all one.
