24/7 reports that early signee Platt will be enrolling next week and hopes to compete in multiple throw events this spring.
Alas, the full article is behind the 24/7 Paywall but others on this board may have means to expand upon and embellish this news:

Here's what the article says regarding T&F:
A standout in the throws at Yelm HS, Platt believes he'll be able to compete this season, but that's "not 100 percent".
"I want to throw," he said. "I would do javelin for sure, and then try shot put and see how it is with the weight change and all that. If it goes good, then I'll keep doing it. If not, I'll just stick with javelin."
Platt is the reigning Washington 3A shot put champion and was runner-up in the javelin. His current javelin PR is 216 feet, while his best shot put mark is 63-11.75.

Platt's Jav PR is actually 228 0, best in the country. I didn't realize early enrollees could compete in what would have been their Sr. year in high school.

Thanks for the info siski & danish!
My superficial take is that Javelin & Shot are an atypical combination of throws and might be spread between multiple coaches. Plus - staying superficial - is coach Blutreich a throws coach CEO who delegates the hands on stuff, or is he hands on for some but not all of the throws?
Just trying to manage my expectations.

I have no insight about Blutreich's coaching style, except that he gets astounding results in the Shot and Discus. I do believe his wife was a national champion in the Javelin, but don't know if she lends a hand for that event.
