ITB posted an Instagram saying goodbye to Oregon. The link doesn't seem to be working so I copied her message below
I wanted to close out the year by saying a huge thank you to @oregontf for the experience of a lifetime and for all it’s bought with it academically, athletically, socially, and personally.
I decided to forego the super long emotional caption for multiple reasons. But I did want to write down a “few” highlights:
- that one session @carlykleefeld and I did one random Wednesday afternoon where we just killed it (we still talk about it).
- Turkey Relays and other @oregontf (whole team) events/travel/bonding moments 💛💚
- @shalaneflanagan ripping my towel from waist at pre nats after the world most ridiculous starter was being the worlds most ridiculous starter. Seriously, I should’ve spun like a beyblade it was so powerful. Marks were left behind.
- Runner up at NCAAs in Austin 🥈
- Having Ma there for 2022 indoor nats 🥉
- This one Pre’s trail run I did with @crazyrabbitkc on Nov 1st where we both agreed it was just the best run we’d been on that season
- Meeting and working with @shalaneflanagan
- Tahoe 1.0 ft @anika_thompson and @malia.pivec , always a pleasure being the draft.
- Meeting, training, and running with the WOO
- Meeting and working with Dr. Carter on my thesis, which I am thrilled to say I passed with Honours.
- Fire-spinning to Old Town Road w the gals on Nevada Beach in Tahoe earlier this summer.
- ABBA on full blast w @mattwisner behind the wheel my first term at UO.
- BTC summer camps.
- a random trip to Portland in July last year I decided to go on the day before thats worked out rather well.
- Victory laps at Hayward
- the 10k night at Hayward in May this year that I got to pace in.
- many many more people and events where I will just run out of caption space (i already ran out of photo space). Having too many to individually name, imo, reflects the quality of the environment I’ve had the privilege of being in and a part of. I’m going to miss life and my time at UO.
To any aspiring Student-Athletes, or anyone reading who might be approaching a crossroad. If an opportunity presents itself to you. Go for it. If it doesn’t. Make it.
