Several years ago, Goducks had great coverage of these sports......athlete bios and photos upon recruitment AND on the "ROSTER" page, frequent updates heading into the season, etc. Recently there has been almost nothing. If it wasn't posted on TRACKDUCKS, we wouldn't know anything. I just looked for the cross-country schedule and neither this year's schedule nor roster is even posted. What is going on, or more accurately, NOT going on? Whose responsibility is it, Rob Mosley? Coaching staff? If it's an economical decision to cut down on reporters, it would be an easy solution to assign Journalism students to this job.
The 2022 Roster list doesn't even have the events listed for the athletes, and only a very few freshmen athletes had ANY information. And NOTHING for 2023!! Help me understand.

This has been the case the last few years with the incoming XC additions appearing some days/weeks before the rest of the squad was added.

Full list of XC runners are there now on TFFRS...As I expected Sebastian Barclay and Ben Reynolds didn't return but the men still have 28 runners on the squad. Very large team with most of them pretty still pretty young. I hope Josh Schumacher is finally healthy he has had a rough collegiate career would be nice to see him end it on a positive note.
Also as suspected Zarbo is not returning. The 4 high profile women transfers aren't listed yet which are probably still going through the process of NCAA determining their eligibility for this year. If any of them are eligible I could see Frias since she didn't compete for UCLA and Patterson who may be a grad transfer. I am really excited to see how the women's team progress this year on the grass it is very likely that all the returners are much better then they were last year only having a short time working with Shalane/Jerry last season.

I would hope the Ducks will list their rosters and announce their newcomers before their first meet of the season...

Almost two-thirds of the Pac-12 schools have posted their track and field rosters for the upcoming seasons. Only Washington State (typically the last to post), Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State, and, as we all know, the Ducks have not yet posted as of today.

The few parents I know who sent their kids to UO liked to see the roster.

It appears that the new regime of the Oregon track team not only keeps its fans in the dark, but also the press. As I sure many of you have seen, Track & Field News put out their annual "where they are going" guide, and there are several omissions for the Ducks...hopefully these still all have occurred, but I guess we won't know until they decide to update the roster for the new season...
Missing from new recruits - Jamaican Kobe Lawrence, decathlete Koby Kessler Missing from transfers - Stanford's Alexa Rossum and Kentucky's SEC pentathlon champion Annika Williams.
T&FNs did make a couple of mistakes, which might have been avoided with the Ducks cooperation: They listed Emily Fitzsimmons as a new incoming Frosh, and said 10.29 sprinter Davonte Howell was coming to Oregon, but he is listed on Tennessee's roster. Yes, Coach Whitsitt's new school has already posted its roster.
Probably the most consequential transfer about which I had not previous read: UNLV shot putter and Jaida Ross-rival Rosa Santana is now at - you guessed it - Florida...although you could have been forgiven if you had guessed Arkansas...

And clearly they meant to mention that the Tennessee transfer is Caleb Hagan because Howell didn’t even have Oregon in his top 10.

At least we have some idea who will be members of the upcoming T&F teams for Oregon for indoor and out, maybe. I did not realize that the transfer portal was still available so it becomes possible that the teams might add or lose members. I am sure against athletes being able to move in the middle of the year. Coaches: With the addition of Ola Adeniji to the staff, it will take some of the overload from coach Taylor. It is coach Henson that seems to be overloaded now. Jumps, multis and is he still the recruiting coordinator? Also I thought programs could now have 7 staff coaches. Several programs list 8 paid coaches. What is the limit now? Also wonder what has happened to one of my favorite Duck staff members, Jim Radcliffe. Anyway, only about 10 plus days till indoors starts. Wished there was a list of 2023/2034 athletes. Last year the list was posted mid October. (14th). And, those of you that have great info and share it are soooo appreciated. I hope Santa treats you very well.
