Well, this makes two users. I like the format and it seems less unwieldy vs the other options.

Bill, I found you...thanks to Bruce's contact with Danish. I like the looks of this board and do believe that it can work. I suspect that most folks have Google accounts.
I've already paid my $149 to DSA (Duck Sports Authority - Rivals) where there has been a reasonable and growing interest in track and field. The managers of that site are local and apparently thinking of bringing in a dedicated Track and Field board. They have shown some commitment to T & F through personal interviews by the monitors with some of the recent recruits.
Currently, I do not care for their structure because they are directing posters to one of their boards called "Casanova Center" for recruit information and to a primary board for general information. This requires one to filter through football and the other sports to find track and field posts (usually by subject titles). What are your thoughts, should they actually bring in a dedicated Track and Field board? Would our long-time eDucks folks be willing to pay for a dedicated board over there?

This makes three. I’m done ✅ with Scout-CBS or whatever it is now when my subscription lapses. The only free forum left is the Woodshef. The other forums are Autzen Audibles (football), Mac Court (Basketball) and Casanova Center (Track & Field).
Not willing to wade through a discombobulated mess for $149.95 per year.

I wish you wouldn't remind me how much I'm paying for eDuck/247. I think this'll work, It has everything we need and should be easy enough for people to sign-up and use. The only question now is getting critical mass and that means spreading the word. I'm a little uncomfortable with just posting a link to this site on the Cassanova center board, because it's a direct threat against their pay-for-view model but I am willing to start sending PMs to all the "good guys". We will probably miss a great set of lurkers however who where enjoying hearing about the Ducks and fan get-togethers even though they never post but are on the other sites for football news also. I put myself largely in that category. We will have to get content providers who want to share their knowledge but also the lurkers. If DSA (Duck Sports Authority) provides a free board for Track, I would probably support that. Ram is doing a good job there, generating interest in the Ducks. I'm not sure they want to do that though and I saw proposals for a combined board for Track and "other" sports much the same that eDuck/247 But I don't mind wading through other posts to see the Track ones.... but that's just me. I'm a glutton when it comes to University of Oregon news. It keeps me connected to the green roots of my home state out here in the desert. I'd like to recommend that we use full names here because one can edit their display names to be anything they want. I used a combo: chileduck (Bill Ogden).

The other potential problem with this site are the banner ads and how bad they will be. We are not seeing any yet, but that probably will change. For $6 a month you can view this board without ads, but I don't see any banner ads yet.

Bill, have you put up a post regarding this site on the other two groups which, I believe, you established? If not, I will. I'm committed to having the great forum we had on Scout.com which enabled us to set up group get togethers and allowed us to become friends rather than names floating around in cyberspace.

So why haven't you signed up yet, Frank? I can tell you that Drakewing ran off when faced with $149 fee and I won't join. Can't speak for others, but it seems that the posts so far over there (I got a 7 day free trial) aren't up to the level of our old board. I have articles appearing in FishDuck on Friday and the next OTC newsletter. I will also work to get mention at the next TTT I am able to attend and I plan to print leaflets, cards, etc. Neither Bill nor I have any financial interest in this free board, but it would be nice to round up the old gang and continue the great conversations we once held.

Hey guys! Thanks Chile for setting this up, and Bruce for letting me know. Bummer about all the changes to eDuck, but we have to roll with it. My #1 worry when the change happened was the loss of all the T&F knowledge, glad to see a "gathering place" like this.

Thanks to everyone that has stayed with Oregon track. I seriously doubt I would follow the Ducks if it was not for the "hombres y mujeres" of this fabulous group of track fans. Hope NY gives us a real shot of themes about which to talk. Go Ducks forever.
